Okay, so I decided to combine the two comments I made at two seperate clubs, to explain the problems with Ian's writngs and stuff like that. Here's the first one:

There's a little saying that goes "Been there, done that". And Ian's pretty much has been doing TOO much of being ther and done that!

Basically, Ian's been doing a LOT of plot twists and shock values. He makes Ken Penders and the other past writers sound like decent writers! I mean, at least they had Sally as a robot for one issue, for example, and Sally's "Death" only lasted four issues, until it was found out that she survived and was in a kind of coma.

Ian, sorry to say, makes the stories sound like a BADLY written parody of Star Wars. Least he didn't have Eggman say "Sonic, I AM your Father!". The guy's wasting our times with nothing but WAY too much talking, WAY too much drama and not enough action. For example, he made Mecha Sally TOO FAST for Sonic to get her, when all the other bots are either slower or at the same speed as Sonic. And the whole "Oh let's have Sally get Weaponized for no good reason, then put an upgraded enhanced Power Ring thingy Eggman just "Happened" to find in her as life source, have EVERYONE hate Nicole because of Mina's song dripping with Ixus' magic, then "Magically" turn Bunnie's limbs back to normal and have her fall into a pile of depressive mess and leaves while her husband's in a coma after survivng a blast from Metal Sonic, because the Egg Legion and the other robots can apparently make MORE robots while Eggman only had a Robotized Sally now! Won't that be FUN?!".

Uh, more like "Won't that be STUPID and time consuming!"? And Ian making the characters all OOC on us isn't helping as well (I.E. Sonic suddenly wanting to quit.)

And the second one from this club:

Know what I hate the most about Ian's stories? Not just the OOC-ness of our fave characters, but the plot twists and the unexplained situations in the stories. Like Bunnie's limbs being turned back to normal. He said that Ixus' Chaos Emerald had the "Magic" to return robotic things to normal, but when did THAT ever happened?

Seriously, if it did that, it would've turned Bunnie's limbs back to normal either the first time Sonic used the Chaos Emeralds, or anytime the emeralds were used. That's just a bunch of trash. That's like him trying to explain how Eggman managed to A: Find a Power Ring when the Power Ring pool got destroyed along with Knothole Village, and B: found a way to "Fix" it so that it was used as a life source for "Mecha Sally".

Also, the part about Nicole's handheld computer "Never" being fixed again, as Ian put it, is also a bunch of bull. Nicole's from the future, as is the computer she came in. She controls the nanites, which she used to create the new home for the Mobians, Rotor's power suit and other things, so wouldn't it make a LOT of sense if she used the same nanites to repair her handheld computer? Afterall, both the computer and nanites are a kind of machine.

Why do I feel that Ian's not being a good writer? Simple, instead of just writing the stories we can follow along with, he's writing nothing but trash with a hundred percent chance of plot twists, shock values, OOC-ness and the many "Wonderful" unexplained points and answers of the current arc Ian's writing.

As I've said in the first part, Ken Penders stories may have been confusing, but at least he didn't keep Sally as a robot for nearly 18 whole issues, or removed the Freedom Fighters "Temporarily", caused any fight between friends like Sonic and Tails or even have multiple plot twists and shock values every single issue!

Can we REALLY trust Ian Flynn after the stories he's written since the end of last year's chapter? In my opinion, it's a big fat NO!

Frankly, I feel that the whole franchise makes no sense, no rules and grounding that make it feel that it's truly a universe, and not an abstract dream cooked up for fun. No explanations on how Sonic or Tails can do what they do where the Chaos Emeralds come from and how and why they work. Nothing adds up logically. Besides, according to you, chaos emeralds don't work to restore robians, so how come power rings work on them then? As for Nicole's original form: A, does she truly need it now, and B, even if it can be repaired, it won't be the same.

I couldn't agree more with you that we cannot trust Ian to deliver.

And one of the biggest reasons why is because he contrived so much needless drama just to make this story possible.

So many things that happened in this story was so OOC for the main cast, it was completely dumbfounding, not to mention it shattered continuity recklessly.

Does anyone really believe Mina would ever viciously attack someone? Or the fact the masses of New Mobotropolis would want Naugus as their king unanimously?

Worse yet, the fact how many of Sonic's friends made such pathetic excuses for why they wouldn't lift a finger to help him rescue Sally from Eggman.

It. made. no. sense.

I agree entirely.

Formerly, the American Sonic Franchise (the Archie Comic book and it's precursor, Sonic "SatAM") was well known for detailed stories with consistent delivery, and intricately woven, developing plots: that changed for the worse, and the problems became obvious with Ken Penders. Ian Flynn hasn't really been writing at all, but blowing things up, hurting characters, and... going nowhere with it, positive or negative: even the Villains - the actual focus and plot-mover in a Good-vs-Evil plot - don't know what they are doing!

Detailed yes, making sense, no.

SatAm was known for making sense and having subtle character development. Sonic Games are known for not making sense.

That's your opion on the matter, doesn't mean it's universal truth.

That's not MY opinion. It's everyone's opinion. Look at Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, and Sonic Colors and find progression of plot OR character between games.

Not enough continuity for my tastes, in all honestly, it's no Golden Sun or God of War.

Look buster, I don't criticize you on what games YOU play, do I? As for continuity, can you name a game or game series, besides Sonic and what I just mentioned that has continuity to it, not same elements, but same developing plot and characters?
